Technology coaches demonstrate professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions in content, pedagogical, and technological areas as well as adult learning and leadership and are continuously deepening their knowledge and expertise.
I find that ISTE-C Standard 6 primarily focuses on three connected practices of instructional technology coaches. In ISTE-C 6a I chose to focus on professional development and exposure to new technologies through formal and informal and collaborative learning. In ISTE-C 6b I find myself focusing on understanding the strategic direction of my organization, the learning we continue to do around principles of adult learning and truly personalized professional development. In my final indicator for ISTE-C Standard 6 I relate the importance in understanding your own emotions to understand the emotions of co-workers. I also reflect on the benefits of reflection and how it can propel us forward.
